| L-552: Developed as a mildly acidic burnishing compound to produce lustrous surfaces on zinc, steel, brass, aluminum, stainless steel, copper and its alloys. Recommended concentration is 1 to 2 ounces per gallon of water with flow-through solution systems. ROTO-BRITE® L-552 can be used with steel media. | ||
| XL-1307i: Developed to clean and burnish a wide variety of metals while offering some corrosion protection. It will develop a bright lustrous finish on zinc, steel, copper, brass, aluminum and coin alloys. ROTO-BRITE® XL-1307I has a medium to high foam level and is capable of inhibiting steel media overnight. Recommended usage rate is 1 ounce per gallon of water. | ||
| XL-309: has been formulated as a mildly acidic burnishing compound to produce lustrous surfaces on zinc, steel, copper, brass, aluminum, stainless steel, and especially aluminum die-castings. ROTO-BRITE® XL-309 is used with steel media and is capable of preventing corrosion of steel media overnight. A concentration of one ounce per gallon of water is recommended. |
| Cleaning | L-391: Liquid concentrate developed to emulsify a wide range of machining oils, mold release agents and coolants. ROTO-BRITE® L-391 is used at 1/2 – 4 ounces per gallon of water depending upon the degree of cleaning required. This product can be used with plastic, ceramic, or steel media. | |
| L-127: Liquid concentrate formulated for deburring non-ferrous metals and their alloys. This product provides corrosion resistance and imparts a desirable, light color to the parts. Recommended usage ratio is 1/2-2 ounces per gallon of water, depending upon the degree of cleaning required. ROTO-BRITE® L-127 may be used with plastic, ceramic, or natural (stone) media and is effective with either a flow-through solution or tumbling system. | ||
| L-618: A highly alkaline compound formulated to remove heavy oils and soil as well as light rust and scale. Recommended usage rate is 1/2 to 2 ounces per gallon of water, depending on the degree of soil removal desired. | ||
| L-824: a highly alkaline, heavy duty, industrial grade cleaner designed to remove tenacious oils and greases from steel and stainless steel parts. Recommended usage rate is 1-4 ounces per gallon of water, depending upon the level of soil to be removed. |
| Deburring | L-161: A deburring compound used with non-ferrous metals that will provide clean, light-colored surfaces. It is effective with ceramic, resin-bonded, natural stones, and fused aluminum oxide medias, and is capable of defoaming resin-bonded media. ROTO-BRITE® L-161 will also prevent “loading” of light to non-cutting ceramic media. Recommended usage rate is 1/2 to 1-1/2 ounces per gallon of water. A higher concentration is used where better cleaning and/or luster are required. ROTO-BRITE® L-161 is generally not recommended for use in hard water over 15 grains per gallon. | |
| L-620: A liquid deburring compound for ferrous metals. It provides rust protection during processing and prevents media “loading.” L-620 can also be used with non-ferrous metals such as aluminum, brass, copper, etc. with ceramic or plastic media for deburring and cleaning. ROTO-BRITE® L-620 is normally used at a concentration of 1 to 2 ounces per gallon. | ||
| L-127: A liquid concentrate formulated for deburring non-ferrous metals and their alloys. | ||
| XL-528: An inhibitor and deburring compound for all ferrous materials including cast iron and powdered iron parts. As an inhibitor, ROTO-BRITE® XL-528 is effective at holding steel media, cast iron, and powdered metal parts for prolonged storage. Recommended usage rate is 4-10 ounces per gallon of water. As a deburring compound, ROTO-BRITE® XL-528 provides corrosion resistance and low foam regardless of water quality. Recommended concentration is 1-2 ounces per gallon of water. |
| Inhibitor | L-326: A liquid concentrate formulated to prevent rusting of steel, iron and other ferrous parts. Recommended usage rate is 3-10 ounces per gallon of water depending upon the degree of inhibition required. Higher concentrations may be necessary for cast iron (10-20 ounces/gallon) inhibition. Inhibitor solution may be applied by dip or spray. ROTO-BRITE® L-326 can also be used as a process compound at 3- 10% with ceramic media to do light deburring and cleaning and offer good rust protection.
NOTE: Inhibition of parts will depend upon pretreatment conditions, inhibitor concentration, sensitivity of alloy to corrode, humidity and the environment in which parts are to be stored. |
