Features

Shaker screeners are an integral part of any mass finishing product line, because they are the most effective way of separation. In the mass finishing industry, shaker screeners, are used for multiple reasons.

First, they provide a very large screening area for separating parts and finishing media from each other, which is typically being fed from a batch vibratory finisher. This offers a much larger surface area to
screen parts and media that are closer in size than a typical vibratory finisher can allow. Secondly, they can be used to classify finishing media, removing unwanted sizes, to help ensure the future processes will not allow media to lodge in your parts. Lastly, shaker screeners can provide extra screening for parts that come off of a standard vibratory finisher, but may still possibly have some media in them (whether it
is from a cup shaped part or parts that may blind the finisher screen deck) that needs to be removed before going downstream in their processing. If your customer demands no foreign material in your parts and you are having a hard time achieving that, a shaker screener will give you that extra “screen deck time” to achieve the result.

As with all VibeTech equipment we construct our shaker screeners out of heavy duty steel to ensure a long life. Twin electric vibratory motors create the linear motion and vibration required to transfer the mass forward and generate enough vertical action to aid in separation. In most applications, the media or screened material is dropped to a lower level, moved to the end of the machine, and then discharged to the side where the customer’s media hopper would be located. With the dual deck design, we are not only able to screen media from parts, but once the media drops to the lower level (in most applications) we can also classify the media and remove any unwanted chips, small media fines, or waste water.
